Calgary man sought in Upper Mount Royal killing

Calgary police are looking for a man they believe has information about an Upper Mount Royal killing that happened in July.
Officers say they haven’t been able to get in touch with 30-year-old Calgary man Justin Aaron Cornell and are asking for help finding him. He is described as 5’5″ tall, 200 pounds, with black hair, and hazel eyes.
“Information from witnesses has been vital in progressing our investigation and we are thankful to those who have already come forward and shared details,” said Staff Sgt. Martin Schiavetta with Calgary Police. “Anyone who has information about the incident, witnessed something suspicious, or who may have heard about the incident after the fact is asked to contact us. Even something that may initially seem insignificant can be instrumental in solving the case.”
Just over a month ago, police charged Calgary man Devon William Shedrick with first-degree murder in the death of 34-year-old Shawn Garry McCormack.
McCormack was found dead in the southwest community of Upper Mount Royal the morning of July 3, and police confirmed his killing was targeted.
Investigators believe several people were present and involved in McCormack’s death, and expect to arrest others “as the investigation progresses.”
The motive for his killing is still unclear, police say.
Officers say they believe McCormack was killed at a home in the southeast Calgary community of Forest Lawn and believe several people moved McCormack’s body from the home to an alleyway in Upper Mount Royal, where police found him.
