A family thrust into figuring out where their 1967 Ford Mustang went after it was meant to go from Calgary to Winnipeg has received good news – it was found in Winnipeg after all.
The Mustang was meant to be shipped from Calgary to Winnipeg, according to the vehicle’s owner Doug Little, but it was found in an impound lot instead.
“I still don’t believe it,” Little said.
It started back in September when Jane Lindsey of Calgary, Little’s sister, hired a Calgary auto transport company, Alberta Auto Transport, to ship the car to Winnipeg.
Lindsey had to pay nearly $2,000 to the company for the delivery, and after it was picked up on Oct. 7, the car went completely off the grid.
“I have not heard anything else from them. They’ve gone radio silent,” Little said. “I think that’s the end of it.”
According to Lindsey and Little, the company was requesting another $1,000 to fulfill the delivery and refused to provide proof of the car’s whereabouts.
Police told the two not to give the company any money until they see the car.

Little, who had dreamed of owning a cherry red Mustang since he was a child, was ecstatic when Lindsey told him police found the car in an impound lot.
“I said, ‘I’m hopping in my car right this very second.’ My wife was home so I said ‘She’s coming with me. We’re both gonna go take a look for it,'” Little said. “I still didn’t believe it was there.”
Little says when they arrived in the Winnipeg lot, his wife pointed it out to him, saying it was behind another vehicle.
“Yes, that’s got to be it,” Little said.
Police released the Ford Mustang to Little, and he was eager to get his dream car onto the road.
Little says he’s waited this long and waiting a few more months for good weather won’t hurt.
The transport company has been flagged by the Better Business Bureau after several client complaints. receiving an “F” rating.
