Calgary Ranchlands murder suspect arrested

Calgary police have arrested a suspect wanted Canada-wide for a fatal shooting in the city’s northwest in the new year.
Officers responded to reports of shots being fired at about 3:40 a.m. Sunday on Jan. 1, in the community of Ranchlands in northwest Calgary.
Police say they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds.
One man, identified as 31-year-old Stallone Leonard Mark Care, was declared dead on the scene. The other man was taken to hospital and has since been released.

Officers say 20-year-old Samiul Turzo was arrested on April 3 “without incident” and is facing a first-degree murder charge.
The suspect is also being charged with attempted murder of the second man involved in the shooting.
He is expected to appear in court on April 11.
