The Calgary Zoo is celebrating Sachi the Japanese macaque’s birthday on Saturday.
The zoo took to Twitter to say “Wish Sachi a sweet 16!”
We’re celebrating a Japanese macaque birthday today! ‘Sachi’ is turning 16!
Japanese macaques have long, thick fur that is brown or grey in colour. Their faces and bottoms don’t have this fur, but males will have whiskers and a beard! ????

“We’re celebrating a Japanese macaque birthday today! ‘Sachi’ is turning 16!” reads the tweet.
Japanese macaques are also called snow monkeys — a terrestrial old-world monkey native to Japan.
Normally, they have brown or grey long, thick fur.
However, their faces and bottoms don’t have this fur and the males have whiskers and a beard, the zoo says.
