Motorcyclist suffers serious injuries in northeast crash

A crash involving a motorcycle in the city’s northeast has sent a man to hospital with serious injuries.

The crash occurred just before 5:30 p.m. Thursday on westbound McKnight Blvd at Deerfoot Trail, leading to major delays.

Police say the man on the motorcycle was sent to hospital in serious condition.

No other injuries have been reported.

The cause of the crash has not been released.

Westbound McKnight Blvd approaching Edmonton Trail was closed down for hours as a result.
