Calgary Mustard Seed desperately needs bath towels

A Calgary shelter is in desperate need of one particular item many of us may take for granted — bath towels.

The Mustard Seed is “dangerously close” to running out of towels for its guests.

“The Mustard Seed Foothills Shelter provides towels to our guests on an as needed basis in order to take care of their necessary hygiene needs such as showering,” said basic services program director Andrew Millar. “Due to high shelter usage, we are running low and need the community’s support to be able to provide this service, essential to our guests’ dignity.

“We are hoping to receive donations of gently used or new towels that can be dropped off at our shelter or downtown locations.”

Donations can be dropped off at the Downtown Community Impact Centre at 102 11 Avenue SE, the Foothills Shelter at 7025 44 Street SE, or the Resource Sorting Centre at Bay 27. 4216 54 Avenue SE.
