Two homes damaged in southwest Calgary fire

The Calgary Fire Department responded to a house fire in the city’s southwest early Wednesday night.
Crews were called to Sierra Nevada Close, west of the Westhills Towne Centre, where they discovered two homes in flames.
The battalion chief says the fire started in a two-storey house before it spread to another.
One person was able to get out safely, though six people living in the two homes will have to find another place to stay.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation and crews remained on scene throughout the night.
