Two arrests made in fatal stabbing of teen in Copperfield: Calgary police

Calgary police have arrested two suspects Saturday in connection to the fatal stabbing of an 18-year-old man in the city’s southeast.
Charges are still pending following the arrests.
Officers say around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called for reports of an assault involving a weapon at an athletic park near Copperstone Road.
When they arrived, investigators found a man, identified as Danillo Canales Glenn, suffering from stab wounds.

Police say the victim was with two friends on a basketball court in Copperfield when two strangers approached the group and started a fight.
Glenn was then bear-sprayed and stabbed by the two unknown people.
He later died from his injuries.

A GoFundMe was started Thursday morning to help with Glenn’s funeral expenses.
The stabbing is Calgary’s 13th homicide of 2023.
