Calgary police investigate NW Halloween shooting

Calgary police are asking for help from the public in the investigation of a shooting that happened Halloween night in the northwest.
Investigators say on Tuesday, Oct. 31, just before 11:30 p.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting on Sherwood Square NW.
It’s believed two people were sitting in a black Mercedes that was parked in the area when another vehicle pulled up and someone in it fired gunshots.
Police say the two people in the Mercedes weren’t injured and were able to drive away from the scene and call police.
Investigators are now asking the public to find the suspect vehicle.
The service is asking anyone with residential security footage or dashcam footage from the time of the shooting to contact police.
Police describe the suspect vehicle as a red or amber-coloured SUV with tinted windows.
Anyone with information, CCTV, or dashcam footage related to his incident is asked to contact police at 403-266-1234 or anonymously through CrimeStoppers.
