RCMP investigate several gas station robberies in Alberta, Saskatchewan towns

The Alberta and Saskatchewan RCMP are investigating a string of gas station robberies in various towns.

Between Dec. 30, 2023 and Jan. 4, 2024, Fort Saskatchewan, Vegreville, Two Hills and Turtleford RCMP received multiple complaints of robberies and thefts at local gas stations.

These thefts happened in the towns of Lamont, Alta., Mundare, Alta., Two Hills, Alta., and Paradise Hill, Sask., police say.

Due to similarities in each, RCMP say the events are connected.

In most cases, the suspects drove a vehicle into a building, causing major damages. They then steal various items, including ATMS, liquor, and cigarettes, according to RCMP.

Police say in one instance, shots were fired when the suspects were confronted by a complainant.

One of the suspects is wearing a walking cast on their left foot, investigators add.

The vehicle used in the robberies is described as a white, single cab pickup truck, with a tow bed and integrated hitch.

The RCMP are asking the public for help identifying and finding more footage of the suspects and the vehicles used.

Police say the suspects are believed to be armed and dangerous and the public is asked not to approach them.

Anyone with information on the suspects or their location is asked to contact their local RCMP detachment or police service.
