Investigators say on Saturday, Sept. 14 around 2 a.m., someone broke into a 2020 Porsche Macan S while it was parked on the street in the 4700 block of 19 Avenue NW.
Several items were taken from the SUV, including cardiac surgery equipment wort at least $28,000.
The stolen equipment is highly specialized and used mainly for minimally invasive cardiac surgeries done by just a handful of surgeons in Canada, according to police.
