Calgary man dies in single-vehicle crash near Carstairs

A 53-year-old Calgary has man died in a single-vehicle crash north of the city near Carstairs Saturday, Mounties say.

RCMP from Didsbury and Airdrie responded to the collision at highways 2 and 581 just east of Carstairs at around 6 a.m. on July 26.

After Mounties arrived to find the fire department and EMS on scene before police arrival, the 53-year-old man–the lone occupant–was determined deceased.

The cause is under investigation.

RCMP sends its condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
