Police investigating after SUV crashes into NE Calgary home

One person suffered minor injuries after crashing their vehicle into a house in northeast Calgary Wednesday.

Police are investigating after an SUV crashed into a house in northeast Calgary on Wednesday afternoon.

Emergency crews were called to a home near 44 Avenue and Whiteland Drive NE in the community of Whitehorn around 1:50 p.m.

Images from the scene show a dark coloured SUV up on a lawn against a house with significant front-end damage.

Police say the driver sustained minor injuries and remains at the scene. No other injuries were reported.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
