Motorcyclist suffers life-altering injuries in SE Calgary crash

A motorcyclist has life-altering injuries following a crash in southeast Calgary on Wednesday afternoon.

Emergency crews responded to a collision around 3:45 p.m. after a motorcycle crashed near the intersection of Cranston Avenue and Cranbrook Drive SE in the community of Cranston.

The crash involved a single motorcycle, according to police.

One adult was rushed to hospital with life-altering but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police have closed Cranston Avenue south of Cranbrook Drive SE as investigators work to determine the cause of the crash. Drivers are being asked to avoid the area.

The investigation remains ongoing.
