Two people are in custody following a series of attempted break-and-enters in the city’s northeast on early Friday.
Calgary police responded around 2:30 p.m. to an attempted break-in at a home on Coral Keys Drive NE.
With aerial support from HAWCS, police tracked two suspects as they allegedly continued targeting additional homes along the same street.
Ground units quickly arrived and arrested the pair. A significant police presence remained in the area until the two suspects were taken into custody.
Later in the morning, other residents in the communities of Coral Springs and Taradale reported additional break-ins and attempted break-ins. Investigators believe these incidents may be connected and are exploring the possibility of additional suspects still at large.
Police are urging residents in the affected areas to review any doorbell or security footage and pass on any relevant information.
The investigation is ongoing.
