This municipal election, Calgarians will have the polls brought directly to them.

The Elections Calgary Vote Bus is making its return this year. First introduced during the 2017 vote, the initiative was paused during the 2021 general election due to capacity limits implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The Vote Bus is a convenient and fun way to vote,” said Kate Martin, returning officer for the 2025 General Election.

Elections Calgary says the bus will visit 11 locations in the city during the advance vote, Oct 6-11.

There will be 42 other advance vote opportunities.

Voters can cast their ballot on the bus, regardless of which ward they live in.

Martin explains the bus is part of Elections Calgary’s efforts to make the election as accessible as possible.

“The Vote Bus allows us to reach voters in all parts of our city, including new communities where facilities haven’t been built to accommodate voting stations, as well as key transit hubs,” she said.

Sharon Fleming, director of Calgary Transit, says it is proud to partner with Elections Calgary on the initiative.

“We’re happy that one of our specially outfitted Calgary Transit buses will be used as a mobile voting station during the upcoming election again,” she said.
