Loaded guns seized from 3 suspected Calgary drug dealers

By CityNews Staff

Three accused drug dealers — including two from Calgary — are facing several charges after an investigation by Alberta’s Law Enforcement Response Teams (ALERT).

ALERT Calgary’s organized crime team laid the charges earlier this month with help from police in Calgary. The trio is accused of trafficking drugs in and around the city since July 2025.

As part of the investigation, police searched two Calgary addresses and four vehicles associated to the suspects.

Investigators say one of the locations was a home in Castleridge and the other was a hotel suite.

Searches of the vehicles led to the seizure of three loaded guns. Two of the firearms, a loaded handgun and a loaded sawed-off shot gun, were previously reported as stolen. The third gun, found in a glovebox, had its serial number removed.

“The combination of firearms and drugs is a significant threat to maintaining our safe communities. In this case we’re getting both off the street and putting the people responsible before the courts,” said Insp. Gerry Francois with ALERT.

Also seized during the investigation was approximately $240,000 worth of drugs and cash, including methamphetamine, cocaine, and fentanyl.

Kole Menzies, 26 years old from Calgary, Nilesh (Nathan) Naidu, 27, from Calgary, and 28-year-old Lance Fisher from Carstairs are facing multiple charges.

Members of the public who suspect drug or gang activity in their community can call local police, or contact Crime Stoppers, which is always anonymous.
