Police seek suspect after $20K in AV gear stolen from NE Calgary community centre

Calgary police are asking for your help to find a man who they believe was involved in stealing $20,000 worth of audiovisual equipment in March.

Police are asking for help identifying a man believed to have stolen thousands of dollars worth of equipment from a northeast Calgary community centre.

Calgary police say the investigation began after a man went to the Genesis Centre on Falconridge Blvd NE around 1 p.m. on March 15.

It is alleged the man accessed the media room and took several pieces of audiovisual equipment before fleeing with a pink and white bag.

After exhausting all leads, police are now turning to the public for help in identifying the suspect.

He is described as about 5’8″ tall, with a slim build and dark facial hair. At the time of the theft, he was wearing a black toque, a black hoodie under a black leather jacket, blue jeans, and black shoes.

Anyone with information about the suspect’s identity is asked to call police at 403-266-1234. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers.
