RCMP rolling out new navy-blue uniform shirts in Alberta this weekend
Starting Saturday, you’ll be seeing these new RCMP uniforms around Alberta. The navy-blue uniform shirts will be standard for frontline officers on a province-by-province basis according to RCMP - as part of modernizing their look.

Mounties in Alberta will soon begin wearing new uniform shirts.
Navy-blue shirts will start replacing the existing grey shirts as of Saturday.
The change was announced last fall as part of the RCMP’s efforts to modernize their uniform.
The new shirt colour began rolling out in October in Prince Edward Island, with the police force making the change on a province-by-province basis.
Officers in Alberta may still wear their grey shirts for the foreseeable future, meaning both the navy-blue and grey shirts will be in circulation for some time.
“The RCMP understands that seeing a new uniform colour may cause confusion,” the RCMP said in a statement.
