Young job seekers should grab their resumes and head to Stampede Park Tuesday afternoon.
Employers are offering up thousands of jobs at the 15th Annual Youth Hiring Fair.
The event is put on by the City of Calgary’s Youth Employment Centre for those between the ages of 15 and 24.
Jessica Pauletig with the Centre says the types of opportunities run the gamut from part-time and seasonal, to full-time positions.
“We will see high school students that are looking for a summer job but we’ll also see university students that have finished their program and looking for their first job out of university, so sorts of fields such as marketing and finance for those career-type positions but also things in construction and trades, recreation, retail and customer service,” says Pauletig.
Since job seekers will have a chance to speak to employers, she recommends dressing for success and bringing along a lot of resumes.
The Fair runs from 1:30 until 6:00pm at the Big Four Building.
