The call has been put out to give Calgary seniors a helping hand this holiday season.
The Calgary Seniors Resource Society is asking for people to make donations to its Adopt-a-Grandparent campaign.
Anastasia Somer-Stevens with the society says volunteers use the donations to stuff stockings with goodies, and then they’re given out to about 250 seniors.
“These are folks that are in their own homes and are not going to have other company at Christmas time,” she says. “It’s about giving them something to look forward to and bringing a little cheer.”
You can donate until December 21st.
