Snowfall leads to many crashes while crews continue to cleanup roads

The latest snowfall to hit the city may be coming to an end, but the roads remain slippery and with areas treacherous.

Between 9:00 p.m. Sunday and Monday night, police report being called out to almost 200 crashes. Ten involved injuries.

Meanwhile, road crews continue to clean up all of the snow that fell.

The city’s Stephen Toro tells 660News, there’s lots of work to be done before residential areas can be reached, including cleaning-up priority one routes.

Priority one routes include Crowchild Trail, Memorial Drive and Glenmore Trail.
