Violent offender arrested in Edmonton

A violent fugitive from the Calgary area has been arrested in Edmonton.

Curtis Hill was among six people in an suv pulled over in a traffic stop in St. Albert, just outside Edmonton, yesterday morning.

Police had been looking for Hill since last month, when he disappeared from his Calgary residence. The high risk offender unit was supposed to be monitoring him when he vanished.

Hill was arrested and charged with four counts of breaching the conditions of his release and one of obstruction.

He’s now in custody in Edmonton and will appear in court at later date.
