Dad set to fight for son, girlfriend

A Calgary dad who says he unknowingly rescued his own infant son from a dumpster has hired a pair of lawyers.
He says he wants to fight for custody of his son, and will also fight to help the baby’s mother.
He tells The Calgary Sun he’s been instructed not to comment on the situation that began October 19th.
His girlfriend allegedly gave birth unexpectedly, and threw the baby in a trash bin at their northwest condo complex.
An officer with the Child Abuse Unit said he believes the baby is now out of hospital and in provincial custody.
No charges have been laid.
