Blowing snow and cold temperatures have arrived

Calgary may have managed to escape most of the snow on Friday night but with 7-9 centimetres of more snow forecasted for the rest of the weekend, and a blowing snow warning in effect, many may find themselves dreaming of warmer temperatures while digging their way out of their driveways.
Next week, Environment Canada is calling for much colder temperatures. As it stands right now, Monday will be our warmest day and even then, Calgary only has a forecasted high of -15 degrees.
Sean Somers with the Roads Department tells 660News, snow plows are already hard at work putting material down in the hopes of keeping ahead of the snow.
He adds, drivers should remember to stay at least three car lengths back from crews as they try and do their job.
