Charges laid in Franklin LRT stabbing

Two youths are facing several charges following a stabbing near the Franklin LRT Station.
The incident took place in the middle of the afternoon on January 18.
Police say a man in his twenties was approached by the three suspects and following a brief verbal exchange, one of the youths stabbed the man.
A second victim has also come forward saying he too was involved a verbal altercation with the three men and a one point, two of the men pointed knives at him before walking away.
The two youths, one 14 and the other 16, cannot be names under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Acting Staff Sergeant Mark Hatchet says both of the suspects are now facing several charges including one count of aggravated assault, 2 counts of carrying a concealed weapon, 2 counts of assault with a dangerous weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Officers are still looking for one more suspect
Police say excellent video surveillance footage helped lead to the arrest of the two men.
