As the clock ticks on the trade deadline in the NHL, general managers are touching base with one another hoping to play “let’s make a deal.”
Sportsnet Radio The Fan 960’s Rob Kerr tells 660News don’t be surprised if Flames Acting General Manager Jay Feaster will try and pull the trigger on a deal or two.
“But I don’t think they’ll be as active as they were under Darryl Sutter, who was a real riverboat gambler,” says Kerr.
Feaster has already gone on record saying not to expect any blockbuster deals, not wanting to jeopardize the future of the franchise.
Kerr would have to agree but says only time will tell.
“You look at the market place and some of the things that we’ve seen recently maybe you’d be a little surprised that those have taken place,” says Kerr. “I don’t think you’ll see any of the core moving out.”
While very excited about the moves that have been made already, he stills anticipates there will be a bunch of moves to come.
