The city will soon be short at least one medical examiner.
One of Calgary’s two forensic pathologists has given their notice.
The resignation will take effect sometime this year and work is already underway to find a replacement.
It’s the latest challenge for the city’s medical examiners this year after a review was announced into work by former medical examiner Michael Belenky.
The Alberta Justice probe was announced in January after mistakes were found in Belenky’s work.
