Tree shortage in Calgary

Calgary doesn’t have enough trees.
A new report finds the city has fallen short in the last decade on its goal to have one groomed street or park tree for every two Calgarians.
The data says Calgary has simply grown too fast for tree growth to keep up.
The city was 120,000 trees short in 2007 and report authors say the situation has improved since then, but not by much.
