Enmax interim CEO Charles Ruigrok says now is not the time for the city-owned utility company to replace its chairman.
The statement comes after Mayor Naheed Nenshi announced he would like to see three of the five new Enmax board directors, including chairman Cliff Fryers, replaced.
According to the Calgary Herald, the mayor sent out a confidential memo to council calling for “new blood” on Enmax’s 12-member board.
Enmax will hold its annual general meeting later this spring.
