Prosecution makes final arguments in Louie murder trial

The prosecution made its final submission Friday in the first degree murder trial of James Louie who is accused in the murders of his two children and the attempted murder of his wife.
Prosecutor Beverley Bauer painted a picture of a man who knew what he was doing and was of functional mind when he carried out the attacks on his family.
She says James Louie had a specific intention to cause death when he strangled his son, smothered his daughter and then waited for his wife to come home so he could attempt to strangle her.
All of which Bauer maintains were deliberate actions that the accused had been thinking about, leading up to the events of that night.
She says this is all evident in a note that Louie left in a message for his wife Ying. The note said “it is you who has forced me”.
The judge will deliver a verdict on April 21st.
