Secondary suites in some areas approved by council

By a vote of 10-4 council has voted to approve secondary suites in all new neighbourhoods.
However older neighbourhoods will have to wait until 2012 for a decision on the highly debated issue.
Ward 14 Alderman Peter Demong, filed the motion to ensure home buyers in new communities would know the zoning rules for the neighbourhood when they purchase a property.
Secondary suits have been a long debated topic amongst council members.
