Debris falls from downtown high rise

Falling debris downtown resulted in the closure of a section on 10th Street at 12th Avenue southwest Tuesday afternoon.
12th Ave. is also closed between 9th and 11th St.
Duty Inspector Keith Cain tells 660News, the debris fell from the building and onto a vehicle just before 5:00.
Fortunately the driver wasn’t injured.
Fire and construction crews are ensuring the building, which is under construction, is secure and the area is safe.
Part of 10th Street is already closed due to construction in the area, so it shouldn’t cause traffic headaches in the area.
