Provincial energy superboard being looked at

A provincial energy superboard is being considered, similar to the one Alberta already has for health.
The idea was presented to the legislature Monday in a discussion paper.
Such an overhaul would put coal, oil, gas, mining and carbon capture all under one government body with sweeping authority.
Energy Minister Ron Liepert says it’s a good way to cut red tape for industry while protecting the environment.
