Air Canada strike looms

Time is running out to reach a settlement before Air Canada workers walk off the job Monday night.
The strike deadline for the customer service and sales staff has been set for 10:00 p.m. MST and there’s little movement at the bargaining table. Pension changes are the big sticking point.
Air Canada says it will replace its 38 striking customer service workers with non-union workers.
Despite assurances from the airline that all flights will stay on track, a few early morning air travellers at Calgary International Airport tell 660News, it will be an inconvenience, but not many have said they’ll switch to another airline.
Air travellers Sandy and his wife Anne, told 660News early Monday morning they’re glad they’re only travelling a short distance to Victoria in case the workers strike.
