Calgary roads could be a lot more tolerable if a proposal tabled at city council, gets the official go ahead.
An increase of $13.5 million dollars to the city snow clearing budget has been tabled at City Hall after the success of last winter’s pilot project.
Alberman Andre Chabot said road crews ability to respond immediately to storms and the inclusion of secondary roads helped make city driving much safer.
The plan for the additional funds is to build snow fences to help with drifting issues, and to increase the level of service to residential roads and multi-use pathways.
