Taking the Bully by the Horns

A local author has released the first of a three part series about the affects of bullying called “Taking the Bully by the Horns.”

Faith Wood spent 14 years as a Canadian Peace Officer and also has a Master’s in Psychology.

She tells 660News she’s seen first hand just how much of impact school-yard and cyber bullying can have on people and what it can lead to.

” What I’m realizing is the symptoms and the behaviours are established early in life and they carry on through the workplace. So what I wanted to do was write a series of books that are designed to help people recognize the symptoms of bullying, the psychological impact of bullying and then also post some strategies,” says Wood.

She says it’s not uncommon for people who were bullied as children to grow up to become bullies.

Wood says tackling the issue at a young age will best help put an end to the issue that has destroyed the lives of so many.
