New cars, trucks and all sorts of toys are up for grabs in the 2011 Stampede Lottery.
The $1.4 million lottery showcase was unveiled this morning.
The big prize is a new $700,000 house in the community of Walden.
Designer Michael Jacobsen, with Homes by Avi, tells 660News even after being involved for the last 16 years they feel lucky to be asked to do it again.
“Just keeping it fresh and keeping it new, that’s the challenge for sure. As you can see by our house this year we went in a totally different direction. So far the response has been positive,” says Jacobsen.
In the last ten years, the lottery has raised more than $20-million for Calgary charities.
Dan Mossey with the Kinsmen Club of Calgary says most of the money goes to help children.
“Alot of our money goes to the kids, alot of charities involve kids in distress, kids in need and those who need help, who have learning problems and behavioural problems,” says Mossey.
Mossey hopes $2-million will be raised this year.
