Wildlife officials forced to kill bear

A large, male black bear has been put down after a couple of close encounters with humans in Yoho National Park.
In late June he chased four hikers near Emerald Lake.
Then last week, the bruin had a run-in with a fisherman and was tracked down and destroyed.
A Parks Canada official tells The Calgary Herald these kind of predatory encounters with black bears are rare, because the animals generally head the other direction when they see people.
