Didsbury Akitas likely to be put down

A woman has surrendered her two dogs after a mauling in Didsbury last month, and the animals are likely to be destroyed.
She handed over the Akitas, cancelling a dangerous dog hearing.
Reports say once the female dog’s pups are old enough, she will be put down and the pups will be found suitable homes.
Their owner has been charged under county bylaws after the animals attacked a couple and their beagle.
The man needed 600 stitches.
