Was Michael Ignatieff too smart to become Prime Minister of Canada?
That’s one of the questions explored in a new book by social activist and author Derrick O’Keefe.
He says the storyline came out after Ignatieff’s defeat in the May 2nd, 2011 federal election, one he does not agree with.
“I think that’s insulting to Canadians and really doesn’t fairly assess Ignatieff’s time in Canadian politics,” says O’Keefe.
He adds, Ignatieff made a number of blunders during the campaign, including concentrating on Alberta when he should have shored up support in Ontario and Quebec instead.
The book titled “Michael Ignatieff: a lesser evil?” is available in stores now.
