Both alleged gang members convicted of killing three people in the New Year’s Day shooting at Bolsa Restaurant have now filed appeals.
Twenty-eight-year-old Michael Roberto’s notice comes four days after 25-year-old Nathan Zuccherato had an appeal filed on his behalf.
According to The Calgary Herald, Roberto’s appeal suggests evidence dealing with a separate trial was used against him.
The document refers to a statement given by a man referred to as John Doe, who told undercover police Roberto was one of the shooters.
Roberto and Zuccherato were sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for 25 years.
