American rich help foil oilsands

American foundations are funneling millions of dollars to environmentalists in Canada, according some of which ultimately goes to help battle the oilsands.
Researcher and writer Vivian Krause tells QMI Agency tens of millions of dollars are going to organizations like Tides Canada which funds environmental and aboriginal groups, most of whom work to protect the B.C. rainforest.
They’re fighting development in the forest, like the Enbridge Northern Gateway Pipeline, which would take crude from the oilsands to the BC coast.
The proposed project is a key link in the Harper government’s plan to boost trade with Asia, especially in the wake of the U.S. stalling on the keystone X-L pipeline.
