The Calgary Hitmen fell short to the Medicine Tigers Sunday night at the Saddledome, but the 17th annual Teddy Bear Toss was once again a major success!
Fans tossed over 25,000 stuffed toys onto the ice.
Some of the furry guys will be donated to more than fifty agencies at the Petro-Canada Gas Station and the Hitmen will also visit the Alberta Children’s Hospital to deliver 400 bears to patients.
Over 186,000 bears have been donated to local agencies, including the Alberta Children’s Hospital since 2000.
Fans can also bid on the game-worn teddy bear jerseys.
The online auction opens Monday morning at 9:00 and closes Wednesday night at 9:00.
