Spruce Meadows lights up

Spruce Meadows may not come to mind right away when you think ‘Christmas light display’ but that’s likely to change, especially for horse lovers!
Throughout December and January the show-jumping facility is hosting a colourful, free display, illuminating a two-kilometre walking or driving route.
The attraction’s Linda Southern-Heathcott tells the Calgary Sun, “International Christmas at Spruce Meadows” is expected to be finished in 2014 with an interactive display, skating rinks and areas for other snow activities.
She says one of the biggest components will be the “International Children’s Fables and Storyland” with stories of Christmas from other countries.
The light display is open from 5 to 9 p.m. until February at 18011 Spruce Meadows Way S.W.
