Police look for alleged sexual assault attacker

Calgary police are hoping the public can help track-down a man wanted on an Alberta-wide warrant related to an incident of sexual assault.
A 26-year old woman claims she was attacked, choked and sexually assaulted by the suspect last Saturday when she was visiting her friend’s house.
The suspect was also visiting the home at the time and allegedly attacked the woman when the home-owner left the residence.
Police are looking for 39-year old Shawn Andrew Miller, who is charged with sexual assault, forcible confinement and overcoming resistance by choking.
He’s described as black, 5’7″ tall and about 150 pounds with short curly black hair.
Staff Sergeant Paul Wyatt says if you see Miller, don’t approach him.
“I would consider him violent and wouldn’t want the public to approach him in any way,” says Wyatt, “if they see him at a distance, then that would be a phone call to police.”
Wyatt says the suspect is known to police dating back to the 1980’s and that he’s been known to make stops all over Canada including Calgary, Edmonton, locations in Saskatchewan and Montreal.
He says if Miller isn’t located in Alberta in the near future, police can go to the Crown and request a Canada-wide warrant.
Anybody with information on Miller’s whereabouts is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
