Autopsy expected Monday in suspicious death

With the Calgary Police Service Homicide Unit investigating its first suspicious death of the new year, it’s expected to be Monday before they can confirm if it’s a murder case.
Officers responded to the home on Erin Circle southeast just after 9 a.m. Saturday following a report of a break-in.
While removing people from the house, to determine what had happened, they found the body of a man inside.
Duty Inspector Darren Leggatt tells 660News the death is not a random incident.
“The persons of interest in relation to the event are known to one another,” says Leggatt.
One person is custody but no charges have been laid.
Though neighbours say they heard what may have been gunshots before officers arrived, police can’t confirm that.
“Those details will be made available after an autopsy which is likely scheduled for Monday, January 16,” says Leggatt.
