Apparent drug overdose takes another life in Alberta

Another possible overdose has claimed a life in the province.

Around 2:30 Sunday afternoon, High River RCMP headed to a home in Nanton, responding to a report of the apparent drug overdose.

A 23-year-old man was rushed to High River Hospital and died a short time later.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday in Calgary.

The man’s name and identity are not being released at this time, pending next of kin notification.
