Calgary Flames launch “Reading Give it a Shot!”

Not only do they score goals, but they are bookworms too!
Flames forwards David Moss and Lee Stempniak were on hand Monday afternoon at Mountain Park School to launch “Reading Give it a Shot!”
Moss says, “It’s a great opportunity to connect to our young fans while promoting the importance of literacy and rewarding those who have really strived to improve their reading.”
The program runs until late March in elementary schools in and around Calgary for students grades four to six.
In increments of 100 minutes reading time, students will receive one of the 24 Flames bookmarks that include an action shot, as well as stats about the player.
