Peace Bridge not causing ice build-up

Don’t blame the Peace Bridge for ice jams on the Bow River; city officials say it has to do with flow patterns on the river, not the temporary support posts that once held up the project.
The managing company of The Marquis condo building tells The Calgary Herald they had concerns after receiving photos that appear to show ice collecting at the bridge.
The building’s parking garage was flooded last week when water seeped in through the elevator shaft.
A high water-plateau on the river was part of the blame for the flooding.
The city’s transportation manager says the support poles are too thin to cause a problem.
